Job Description

The Site Quantity Surveyor role is based in Lubok China, Melaka, where the individual will engage in daily interactions with contractors and stakeholders to oversee project costs and contractual matters. The position requires meticulous documentation and effective communication to resolve disputes and manage claims efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review cost estimates for site works.
  • Manage claims from contractors and suppliers.
  • Handle contractual matters related to construction projects.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of construction contracts.
  • Monitor project costs and financial performance.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all project-related activities.
  • Support the resolution of contractual disputes as they arise.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or related fields.

3-5 years of relevant experience in contract management, cost estimation, and claims handling within the construction industry.

Strong understanding of pre- and post-contract procedures.

Good communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
