This role includes supervising all kitchen areas, managing budgets, and guiding and developing staff to maintain sanitation, food handling standards, and exceptional guest satisfaction.
High school diploma or GED with four years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area, or a two-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with two years of relevant experience.
Ability to manage kitchen shift operations and ensure compliance with food and beverage policies and procedures.
Capacity to prepare and cook various foods and assist in kitchen operations and preparation.
Skill in developing new culinary ideas, food presentations, and decorative food displays.
Knowledge of purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards and compliance with food handling and sanitation regulations.
Leadership skills to supervise and coordinate kitchen staff activities, promote teamwork, and maintain productivity.
Capability to communicate expectations clearly and build collaborative relationships within the team.
Experience providing exceptional customer service and managing guest feedback and complaints.
Ability to achieve culinary and operational goals, manage labor scheduling, and train employees in safety procedures.
Experience in coaching, mentoring staff, participating in performance appraisals, and collaborating with human resources as needed.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively within the team and with management.
