The Specialists - L1 SOC Analyst is responsible for monitoring and analyzing an organization’s security posture. This role operates in a 24/7 environment to detect, respond to, and mitigate security incidents, serving as the first line of defense against potential threats.
Job Description
In the Digital Trust & Cybersecurity team, the Level 1 SOC Analyst engages in day-to-day monitoring and analysis of security incidents. The role requires effective communication during shift handovers and a proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and incidents to identify potential threats.
- Triage alerts and conduct initial investigations on security incidents.
- Communicate findings and status updates during shift handovers.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance security measures.
- Document incidents and responses for future reference.
- Assist in the development of incident response procedures.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
Job Requirements
Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
0-1 year of experience in Cybersecurity, SOC or Surveillance.
Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
Familiarity with operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux).
Knowledge of security tools such as SIEM platforms and EDR/XDR.
Strong communication skills in English.
Attention to detail for identifying anomalies.
Willingness to work in shifts.
