Must be able to manage a staff of professional and support associates.
Requires the ability to set goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.
Requires problem-solving ability for difficult to moderately complex issues.
Must influence others outside own job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
Must be able to adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
Assignments are defined in terms of activities and objectives with some latitude to make decisions to achieve defined goals.
Experience at the Senior Professional level is generally assumed before becoming a manager.
Regularly applies expertise in day-to-day activities and may fill the role of a staff member in complex situations.
