The engineer will work closely with global teams and support operating units, manufacturing plants, capital projects, and research and development organizations. The role involves contributing to technical decisions, working with partners and contractors, supporting project development from concept through commissioning, and applying technical knowledge to solve complex problems.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in oil & gas projects or related industries.
Deep understanding of piping design and piping layout including preparation of plot plans, pipe support selection, 3D model review, material specification, and vendor technical evaluation.
Knowledge of ASME B31.3 pressure thickness design and ASME B16.5 flange ratings and material groups with general awareness of full B31.3 scope.
Basic pipe stress analysis and B31.3 compliance including sustained stress, thermal expansion, and nozzle loads.
Basic understanding and knowledge of valve types such as gate, globe, check, ball and associated standards like ASME B16.34, API 598, API 600.
Proficiency with piping design software such as CAESAR-II, NAVIS, and SP3D.
Experience with onshore and offshore facilities design and onsite work in oil & gas facilities.
Ability to interface with other engineering disciplines including process, rotating equipment, and materials.
Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of piping systems and components.
Basic understanding of ASME SEC VIII Division 1 and ASME PCC-2 structure and content.
General awareness of pressure vessel design, fabrication, repair, operation and related software such as PVElite and Compress.
Understanding of factors influencing mechanical design and operation of common pressure vessels including drums, towers, reactors, and heat exchangers.
Strong organizational, management, and technical judgment skills.
Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
