The Steward is responsible for operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools, including dishwashing machines and trash compactors, as well as cleaning and disinfecting kitchen and storage areas, tools, and equipment. This role involves receiving deliveries, storing perishables properly, rotating stock, and ensuring wares are stored appropriately. The Steward also handles cleaning duties such as washing dishes using detergents and sanitizing chemicals, inspecting and sorting cleaned items, managing trash and recyclables, and maintaining cleanliness throughout assigned departments while adhering to company policies and safety standards.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Ability to follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
Ability to speak clearly and professionally with others.
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
Willingness to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
