Job Description

In this position, the Steward will operate and maintain cleaning equipment, manage waste, and ensure that all kitchen wares are properly cleaned and stored. The role involves a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall hygiene and organization of the kitchen space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and trash compactors.
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen and storage areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Receive deliveries and store perishables properly.
  • Rotate stock and ensure wares are stored appropriately.
  • Wash dishes using detergents and sanitizing chemicals.
  • Inspect and sort cleaned items for quality assurance.
  • Manage trash and recyclables to maintain cleanliness throughout assigned departments.

Job Requirements

Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

Ability to follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.

Ability to speak clearly and professionally with others.

Willingness to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
