Job Description

The Subject Teacher & MYP Coordinator works closely with MYP teachers and school leaders in a dynamic educational environment. This position includes a blend of teaching and administrative duties, fostering a collaborative atmosphere for both staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the pedagogical direction of the IB Middle Years Programme.
  • Collaborate with MYP teachers and Learning Area Leaders to ensure curriculum alignment.
  • Support staff training and professional development initiatives.
  • Track and analyze learner progress to inform instructional practices.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
  • Oversee the Year 9 Community Project and support learner induction.
  • Engage with parents and school leaders to uphold programme standards.

Job Requirements

A degree plus teaching qualification (or equivalent).

Higher degree or recognized professional qualification (preferred).

Evidence of continued relevant professional development.

A good understanding of the IB MYP programme and IB philosophy.

Experience in teaching learners with diverse needs, especially those with English as a second language.

Experience in an international school environment.

Curriculum leadership experience.
