Job Description

In this role, the Subject Teacher (Physics) will utilize inquiry-based teaching strategies to create a dynamic classroom atmosphere that motivates students. The teacher will work collaboratively with the Science team to instruct learners from years 7 to 13, covering the IB MYP, IGCSE, and IBDP curricula.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Organize and participate in extracurricular activities related to Physics.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance.

Job Requirements

A recognised teaching qualification.

Bachelor's degree (or higher qualification) in Education, Physics, or a related field.

Evidence of continued relevant professional development.

Experience working with bilingual and multilingual learners and learners with diverse needs.

At least 2 years of relevant experience in an international school environment where the school curriculum focused on IBMYP, IGCSE or IBDP (preferred).
