This position is for a Science Teacher at Nexus International School, teaching students aged 11 to 18. The role is short-term, ending in June 2026, and involves delivering an international curriculum within a supportive educational environment.
The Subject Teacher (Science) role involves teaching science to learners from years 7 to 13, covering ages 11 to 18, within an international school environment. The teacher uses inquiry-based strategies to create positive learning environments that motivate and challenge students to become proactive, lifelong learners and leaders. The curriculum includes the IB MYP, IGCSE (Edexcel), and IBDP frameworks across the secondary school. The teacher collaborates within the science team and broader school community, employing effective pedagogy to support learners in becoming independent and successful. The role includes engaging parents, integrating IT to enhance learning, supporting problem-solving, and contributing to whole-school activities. This position is a short-term contract ending on 19 June 2026.
A recognised teaching qualification.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher qualification) in Education, Sciences, or a related field.
Evidence of continued relevant professional development.
Experience working with bilingual and multilingual learners and learners with diverse needs.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in an international school environment with a focus on IBMYP, IGCSE or IBDP curriculum (preferred).
