Lead the Asia Pacific tax strategy for a global resins manufacturer, overseeing both direct and indirect tax compliance and reporting. This role involves strategic advisory, audit management, and ensuring regional adherence to complex international tax standards and GMT requirements.
Reporting to the Group Treasury and Tax Director, you will lead the regional tax agenda for Asia Pacific. You will oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, lead IAS 12 reporting, and manage complex audits. The role involves strategic advisory on business initiatives, navigating Global Minimum Tax (GMT) requirements, and collaborating on Transfer Pricing. You will manage external advisors and mentor regional finance teams to ensure high-quality tax governance and risk mitigation.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, MBA, or MS in Taxation preferred.
10-15 years of progressive tax experience in a multinational or in-house role.
In-depth knowledge of income tax and GST/VAT across key Asian jurisdictions.
Strong understanding of IAS 12 reporting and OECD Transfer Pricing principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong financial and tax modelling capabilities.
Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
Strategic thinker with strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and mentor finance teams in tax compliance.
