Role Summary
The Tax Manager is responsible for leading the regional tax agenda for Asia Pacific. This role involves overseeing tax compliance, managing audits, and providing strategic advisory to ensure effective tax governance and risk mitigation.
Job Description
In this role, you will report to the Group Treasury and Tax Director and work closely with regional finance teams. You will engage in a dynamic work environment that requires collaboration with external advisors and mentoring of finance professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead direct and indirect tax compliance across the Asia Pacific region.
- Oversee IAS 12 reporting and manage complex tax audits.
- Provide strategic advisory on business initiatives and navigate Global Minimum Tax requirements.
- Collaborate on Transfer Pricing strategies and implementation.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and consultants.
- Mentor regional finance teams to enhance tax governance and compliance.
- Ensure high-quality risk mitigation practices are in place.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, MBA, or MS in Taxation preferred.
10-15 years of progressive tax experience in a multinational or in-house role.
In-depth knowledge of income tax and GST/VAT across key Asian jurisdictions.
Strong understanding of IAS 12 reporting and OECD Transfer Pricing principles.
Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
Strategic thinker with strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
