The Biomedical Technician is responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of critical medical equipment. This role involves hands-on maintenance and support, contributing significantly to the healthcare environment by ensuring equipment reliability and safety.
Job Description
As a Biomedical Technician, you will engage in daily maintenance tasks, provide in-house service for minor equipment breakdowns, and oversee contractors during service and preventive maintenance activities. Your prompt response to work requests and effective communication with the Head of Maintenance will be essential in maintaining high standards of medical equipment functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with all maintenance work
- Provide in-house service for minor breakdowns
- Monitor contractors during breakdown service
- Respond to work requests within specified timeframes
- Report issues to the Head of Maintenance
- Monitor gas supply
- Ensure spare parts availability
- Update bin card of spare parts
Job Requirements
Diploma in Biomedical Engineering or related field
Relevant certifications in medical equipment maintenance
Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Proficient in English, both written and spoken
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure
