Job Description
The Technician at Four Points by Sheraton Desaru is responsible for responding to guest repair requests and performing preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment. The role involves inspecting equipment, maintaining inventory, performing minor repairs, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The Technician also assists with landscaping repairs, general housekeeping related to engineering, and communicates daily activities with other shifts. This position requires basic knowledge in various technical areas such as air conditioning, electrical systems, plumbing, and carpentry.
Job Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting is preferred.
Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and moving up and down stairs or ladders.
Basic computer skills are required to input schedules and make adjustments.
Must follow all safety and company policies.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others are important.
Should have knowledge or willingness to learn air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry skills.
