Role Summary
The Technology Technician is responsible for servicing, inspecting, and repairing IT equipment. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing technical advice to customers, and maintaining work equipment both in-store and on-site.
Job Description
The Technology Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the functionality of IT equipment through regular servicing and repairs. The technician works in a dynamic environment, addressing customer needs both in-store and at various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and inspect IT equipment such as laptops and PCs.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
- Install operating systems, drivers, and related software.
- Replace and install spare parts including HDD/SSD, RAM, and batteries.
- Provide technical advice and support to customers.
- Prepare service reports and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of work equipment.
Job Requirements
Minimum SPM / SKM / Diploma in IT, Electronics, Computer, or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of repair and troubleshooting for hardware and software.
Fresh graduates are welcome with training provided.
Diligent and responsible with a quick learning ability.
Willingness to work in-store/workshop and on-site when required.
