Role Summary
The Vessel Manager, Dry Cargo is responsible for overseeing the operations and management of assigned vessels. This role involves ensuring the efficient functioning of 4-6 primary vessels and 3-5 backup vessels during travel periods.
Job Description
In this position, you will manage the day-to-day operations of multiple dry cargo vessels, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with various teams to optimize vessel performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operational management of assigned vessels.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
- Coordinate with crew members to maintain vessel efficiency.
- Monitor vessel performance and implement improvements.
- Manage schedules and logistics for vessel operations.
- Attend to additional duties as decided during the annual employee dialogue.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies or related field.
Relevant certifications in vessel management.
Experience in dry cargo operations preferred.
Strong communication skills in English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
