Whole School Counsellor and/or Lead Counsellor at Taylor's College - Selangor

The Whole School Counsellor and/or Lead Counsellor is responsible for providing leadership and expertise in fostering positive relationships and supporting mental wellbeing within a diverse school community. This role significantly impacts the emotional health of learners and contributes to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

The Whole School Counsellor and/or Lead Counsellor at Nexus International School engages in day-to-day activities that include individual and group counselling, collaboration with teachers and parents, and the design of mental health programmes. The role also involves leading professional development on emotional wellbeing and supporting transitions for learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counselling to learners.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student wellbeing.
• Design and implement mental health programmes for the school community.
• Lead professional development sessions on emotional wellbeing for staff.
• Manage counselling services and supervise other counsellors.
• Develop and monitor school-wide mental health initiatives.
• Serve as the primary contact for mental health concerns within the school.
• Oversee safeguarding cases and promote safeguarding awareness across the school community.
