Okay working colleague okay pay

Questionable leadership, tend to berate certain employees as biasness and favouritism are heavily played. Lack of work-life balance and general headcount for tasks/projects. OT is required very often. Lots of compliance tasks are mundane and very repetitive, yet the AML team is required to show up in the office daily despite other team being granted WFH benefits.

Hard to develop as a newbie, everythings need permissions and multi level bureaucracy

Lack of structure and disorganised work day to day need to be able to work independently

Better understand the individual district’s culture and style before joining. I think its common to show the rainbow side of them, and after that you’ll start to see the rainy side (pressure about sales, leads, everything). Best to not join as a first career unless you already have a good amount of capital and network. Very important.

Need consistency with leadership team

- Quota stress: Hitting sales targets can be relentless, taking the focus off client needs. - Tough clients: People might be resistant to discussing finances, especially during difficult times. - Slow sales cycle: Building relationships and explaining policies takes time, with the risk of deals falling through.

Not music, creative industry related

- Selective favouritism by the management. - Team Leader A is very condescending at times and has a favourite worker and it is apparent. People can see and you're too blind to notice. - Manager keeps changing because no one can stand being there - Team Leaders are rather insensitive and tone death at times. - Team Leaders and Managers do not understand what the processors are doing, need training for them too since they are overlooking processors - Minimal increment - less than 10% even when you have no performance issues. They only give a lot of increments to their favourite bootlickers. - Restricted OT, overwhelming workload . When raised to team leaders, unsatisfactory answer and reasons given, mostly no empathy.

Office politics, poor management, no work life balance

Too many processes. Too many managers. Too many constraints. Impossible to achieve anything worthwhile.

Expect to work OT due to constant high workloads and little to no WLB during weekends

No cons, but improvements on operations could be better

Too many chefs spoil a meal, to get things done, you have to go through a million hands so it becomes painfully slow to get things done. Most of the time its already obsolete or out of date by the time you complete it

Culture is not very diversified and direction is very much top-down Lack of new blood to bring new ideas as lots of promotion are based on seniority

Need to network and know many people

Poor management and zero whistleblower policy, full of discrimination and politics

I had a good experience with them

I dont have any complaints

This industry is not for everyone

Divisions tend to work in silos sometimes and respond slowly to innovation-led campaigns

Management level hierarchy is quite bad

Seek for an improvement and better allign with skills

Working in a "team" but goals are hit by yourself your own effort (might not always be a con)

Salary is not high, need to consider

There is no downside at AIA

Not follow Malaysia public holiday since this is regional support position

Salary and benefits might be too low, You might be alone a lot of times in the office.

Its a mixed bag of people, some people are very young, others unprofessional.
