Started my journey in Alliance Bank as a Management Trainee (MT) and it was one of the best choices I made. The MT programme is highly recommended as it is a structured, educational and fun programme over the span of 1 year whereby the MTs will experience 6 months rotation across various departments of the Bank, present the business solution to the Management Committee, partake in enlightening and useful trainings and leadership camp and a 6 months on the job placement. I was given the opportunity to be promoted twice throughout my tenure in the Bank. The Management does a good job at keeping the employees abreast of the latest happenings within the Bank through weekly huddles and frequent Group Comms. Although we might be one of the smallest Banks in Malaysia, employees are given a chance to work closely with the top management and learn the ropes from them.
Limited customer base. Quite risk adverse. Bonus and increment may not be as attractive as the bigger banks. Not as many sexy and attractive projects and products as the bigger banks
