Senior software engineer
- nice products - technical integration challenges - good work life balance
- micro management, and often non-technical managers
Cbt specialist
Great benefits, pay, job security.
Can’t think of any cons
Anonymous employee
great team, lots of opportunities for growth and lateral movement
hard to say really, I liked it there
modelling and simulation is a very interesting space, and brings together great professionals. Everyone submits timesheets so work-life balance is pretty good; you know where you spend your time, and when you have worked a full week.
Limited career growth, little to no training budget. As a public company, the outlook and planning is short-sighted. Not much in the way of investing in R&D, innovation, strategic partnerships, etc.
Manager
Good benefits and vacation policy, coworkers friendly, great opportunity to try different departments
Paid less than most defence companies, and defence employees are paid less than the civil employees.
Sr ios developer
Work culture is good Provide Hybrid work culture and it's very lenient They don't have micro management
Growth is slow Minimum benefits No trips and parties by the manager
Hr business partner
The people are friendly and very engaged. They love what they do.
Some inconsistencies with policies. Departments do not always work well together. Employee relations can be a challenge due to the "good ole boy" culture.
flexible work time, interesting projects, plenty of team building
not very effective project management on certain projects
Good salaries, good benefits, good work life balance and opportunity for growth. People are also very nice
Quite annoying to be forced to fire people all the time. Specially highly talented people.
Technical staff
Good work/life balance with flex time, "California Fridays" (half days on Friday), and one week extra vacation for Christmas. Stock plan is good, insurance plan is comparable to other companies. Opportunities to travel with paid overtime and great opportunities to work directly with the simulators, which are fun.
Management is getting more and more disconnected. They don't want to hire, they don't understand the day-to-day concerns of the people at the bottom of the pyramid. Some promotions make no sense. The best people often leave for greener pastures. Every year we hear publicly how great the company is doing, but internally we're always broke. What gives?
