Some extra level of agility and flexibility is necessary. In order to stay competitive on the global market the company goes through constant changes and improvements. In general not a cons, but some people are seeing it as a such.

be prepared for the cave age of workplace diversity... this company only pretends to take dei (diversity/equity/inclusion) seriously.

big company, slow to move

Rotating schedule. Only “sick time” you have is 2 days a year you can call in without being pointed.

IT is difficult, behind on diversity and inclusion

Full time does not reflect this. Not competitive pay, most operators working full time can't afford to use their own health insurance, plant manager won't fly the pride flag in June, and cover ups from people clearly trying covid at work, but reporting "0 spreads from work"

Cannot think of anything I would change. Fantastic employer.

slow to promote, lots of competition for senior level engineering roles

Its a meat packing facility. You come home covered in blood and fat, and smell like dead animals. I didn't experience any poor management, but I've heard some bad stories. Also no real work life balance. I worked for 6 months until I got a new job offer out of the blue.

IT department is bit slow

Remote training felt slow at times, but once I learned the software I settled in well.

Bad management who never listens

Limited career growth due to minimal turnover in senior roles.

It does not matter how good you are at your job or if you’ve been a top performer for the last five years. It does not matter how much value you have added to the company with your work… they will still let you go, and they won’t care. Cargill wants loyal and committed employees, but no one in upper management is willing to commit to the same. They said they are people first but the last importante thing here is people.
