fun environment, good vibes, easy work
low pay, rubbish management, insufficient training
Sales assistant
1) Freedom of speech 2) Not much stress. 3) Lot of interaction with customers. 4) Friendly environment.
I worked for only 2 months part time. So I really didn't find any "cons" while I was working.
Porter (wast) bin man
Rubbish, garbage, waste of time
Waste of time, garbage , rubbish
Shop assistant
Working with tech constantly 15% discount
Non-set hours A lot of work expected for minimum wage Hard to move up Becomes mundane Inconsistent approaches to similar situations/problems
Sales associate
Good staff to work with
Poor pay and awful customers
Sometimes a fairly relaxed environment (as much as retail can be), good for those with niche interests - gaming, films, technology, 15% staff discount and a two-week returns scheme, designed to enable staff to learn more about the products they sell.
Low pay (basic minimum wage, supervisors only get 5p more than sales assistants), very few perks, high stress (especially in some stores), often dealing with 'undesirables' and very rude members of the public, lack of support from higher ups, they ask for a lot from their supervisors and managers for very little in return, there seems to be an 'us against them' mentality within the company - very little trust between the higher ups and the people actually working on the frontline, inequality in perks and benefits - rumours that HR receive free massages every week where sales assistants get no incentives or benefits whatsoever.

No Pros here. None whatsoever
Lack of Management. Prioritizing un-important tasks.
discount and return policy is nice for buying expensive hardware like a good pair of headphones or a laptop
minimum wage and no real ability to work upwards, definitely feel like a cog in a machine with some higher ups who do not care about you
Friendly staff, good company, overall good place to work
Customers can get frustrated quite easily
Sales
Good place, good hours. Fun
Big work load. Customers can be rude
