Sales assistant
Meet some great people to work with 15% discount is useful 2 week return window back to original payment on purchases
Customers can be overwhelming Leaving late is normal at some stores Inconsistent company standards can be infuriating, especially in a franchise store
Staff discount and friendly colleagues. That's about it.
Verbal abuse from customers. Threatened by customers. Terrible pay. Inconsistent hours. Poor management. Poor working conditions (bathroom is literally falling apart, toilet barely flushes, and only one tap works)
Work is simple, if you're passionate about games, movies or tech you have a work outlet to explore and have conversations about them
Hours not stable due to part time nature Opportunities for progression limited (unique to store size)
Retail manager
Training, Pay, People and Support
Customers sometimes can be violent.
Retail sales associate
It was okay I like games and tech
Hated the customers underpaid us
Qa engineer
1. Great and very generous co-workers. Always there to help when you need. 2. Company has an overall positive attitude and work culture 3. Getting new things to learn here. 4. This is the only company I could think of as my 1st one which I am working for
No cons in my opinion.
Team leader
No uniform, usually a good range of music when not forced to play radio, rare nerd stuff comes in frequently, work colleagues are usually good company
Death / violence threats from customers constantly, uncaring upper management, awful pay for the workload / stress, constantly understaffed due to "budgeting"
Associate qa engineer
Broad spectrum for learning technologies. Great team to work with. Amazing work culture and people Great learning experience and growing opportunities.
No Cons as such, great workplace
Anonymous employee
Great co workers Helpful management Different type of job
Customers are often rude and demanding Company policy - (eg customers can’t wear hats when being shown an item, or refunds only to voucher) mean that staff face abuse more often than needed. Low pay and rare bonuses
Offer incentives for staff, such as festivals to attend put on by company. Depends on manager but if you get a good one there's a nice community atmosphere between the team
They never pay right, only paid till rota time when you're there for near an hour after putting away stock. Not very flexible
