Anonymous employee
Stable company Good benefits including bonus Chances for advancement Option to work from home 3x a week Friendly and helpful atmosphere
After merger with ACE, had to learn their system-difficult working with 2 systems. Raises are very small-reviewed once a year.
Underwriter
Managers care about their employees and the overall well-being of the company.
Generally boring work atmosphere, especially if you re coming right out of college. This may vary per location but that was just my experience.
Great hours, friendly environment, good benefits
Horrible outdated equipment , office is old and outdated
Underwriting assistant
Team work, Professional, Experienced and Technical Underwriters.
Progression takes longer than necessary.
Chubb looks great on your resume
they are cheap with their employees salaries and bonuses
Underwriting associate
Benefits are decent. Cooperative atmosphere among UWs and UAs. Flexible, in terms of scheduling and working from home.
Since the acquisition by ACE, I feel the company is headed in the wrong direction. Employees are faced with unrealistic workloads. Chubb's reputation is slipping amongst brokers and insureds, as employees simply don't have the capacity to provide the service once expected from the old Chubb. Pay is mediocre at best. Starting to truly feel like "just a number."
Senior financial analyst
Work downtown in old city on 6th and walnut. Decent amount of compensation and benefits for your work if you're at a low or high level position. If you want minimal responsibility and still get paid decently, work here. But dont volunteer or attempt to do more than the bare minimum... you will be taken advantage of and then be told youre lazy and lack dedication when your manager tires to overload your work schedule.
Incredibly poor work culture. No respect from senior management, unrealistic expectations of responsibilities and timelines, lack of resources to accomplish basic daily tasks (horrendous IT infrastructure) and no personal accountability. Intermediate level position such as senior analysts are under compensated and there is no career development structure so that you know what skills and competencies you need to reach the next level.
Account executive
Managers are very nice and understanding.
Pay is way below market.
Flex schedule and work from home twice a week
Not much autonomy . Not a lot of room for growth.
Employee
good Company to work for good benefits flex hours sense of community good hard working staff
Did Chubb just get acquired by Travelers and nothing was publicly announced? Senior management is always talking Travelers this and Travelers that! If they loved the company that much they should have stayed there. Operations is being run like a circus these days and no one is asking staff how they feel. Hard working people not getting the guidance and support they need.
