High chance that you will be working with colleagues coming from different parts of the globe fostering a diverse and dynamic environment. Work culture is very Western-oriented which means there is little chance of micromanaging (depending on the manager). You will gain exposure to many aspects of the bank, and the bank encourages you to pursue broad variety of career paths but you must meet high standards and expectations. Always put your best foot forward.
Poor support for work-life balance. While management makes an effort to reduce workload, this does not come to fruition, and burdensome/complicated policies/processes change often which adds stress. Given this, rendering overtime is the norm even without additional compensation for this. Work culture can also get competitive and deadlines, assignments, and commitments are very strict. If you are not a fast-paced worker then you will likely be frowned upon. There is mentorship but not as strong as I expected. Trainings are helpful but it does not really get you far ahead in your role as most of it will be learned through experience. To add, managers are often busy (in meetings) so you are expected to work (and figure things out) independently most of the time, which is suitbale for people who prefer to be individual contributors.
