They focus on young talent and really don't like long term employees.

- not time flexible - salaries are very low compared to the market - changing to office based instead of hybrid is not a great move - remote engineers are not eligible to promotion

Not much employee centric benefits. Work life balance is not that great.

For my particular department, we changed managers far too many times. The mission kept changing every 3 months.

Processes can sometimes feel bureaucratic and slow. Career growth is not always fast-paced. Large organization means decision-making can be hierarchical. Salary growth was modest compared to industry. Some projects had long release cycles.

So structured that advancement is very difficult, and anything beyond the most basic raise with inflation is impossible. Also, very siloed. You won't even deal with people outside of your general area of occupation.

No chances of promotion HR doesn't exist

The RTO has been an issue with limiting the current flexibility. However, there is an option to stay remote - for that we will have to make some compromises and give up certain possibilities.

- The transition from fully remote to 5 day RTO was handled very poorly by senior leadership, and the way they're responding to people's very loud and clear disapproval and concern is even worse. - Lack of transparency and honesty. Everyone knows the reasons given for policy changes or attempts at efficiency via AI are double-speak. For example, just because the Zoom AI can summarize our meeting notes doesn't mean you should gut your Project Management Offices. PM's do so much more than simply summarize a meeting and send out notes to people. What a lack of wisdom and understanding! - Rigid policies that attempt to control employees in ways that don't contribute to productivity, efficiency, or innovation. - Old school mentality from Michael Dell and his direct reports. They truly don't seem to know how to have a dialogue. What I mean by that is "professional", polished (aka fake) and sanitized messaging doesn't work anymore. People need and expect honesty. Authenticity. Not reading from a prompt and manufactured hype. Gross.
