Leaders are rather nepotistic, so if you are not "connected" in some way, you may never get promoted nor get assigned to projects. For some weird reason, these Leaders also seem to prefer promoting youngsters who are fresh out of College or University over time above immigrants with a lot more years of experience. If your project happens to end and you are unable to get yourself on another within a few months, you may be also be laid off. I found the organization a weird one, its Leaders, even more so.

Hard to transfer to different industries

The pay is not great especially for a such an expensive city like San Diego

Management does not care about employees

Deloitte is a shell of its former self. Lots of not-so-intelligent people at the Manager and MD-level. All they care about it making sales. They do not care about developing talent like they used to.

Workload can be extensive At least in my experience switching teams is a little more difficult

Tiring work culture - getting billed in one project and doing work of multiple projects Work is not valued by some in the mid to senior management ADs and Ds as they'll take you for granted Weekends are taken for granted in the name of interviews and some projects that's become a mess due to some loose ends made in the past by some employees who jumped ship If you're exiting the company they'll try their best not to pay all your hard earned money on the pretext of some policy or other - especially Earned leave encashment

Salary was not very good, benefits practically inexistent, not even the coffee machine in the office was decent

No work life balance at all Every Saturday and Sundays we have to work. If we are handling domestic clients, mostly all the issues will be attended through mobile calls

No cons in company, sometime travelling to client locations become challenging

Your pay is determined by your previous company not your market value. They will do meetings to convince you they pay above market value which isn't true at all.

Consulting work. Projects aren't guaranteed so there is a lack of consistency.

Mid to upper management might actually work on their empathy/communication skills at least.

No one wants to guide you in work or should no one is able to.

Sometimes pressure is unbearable and can be stressful so need to be ready for that kind of environment

Bullied in the UK office in the Capital and Infrastructure Projects team based in the London office - partners and directors are mostly Aussie so any issues with one, they all gang up on you. Company is toxic, everyone has self inflated egos and an entitlement that they work for the best in the business. Poor pay and poor hours

Demanding KPIs, sometimes long hours, can be a bit political and competition between teams is sometimes an issue.

Could be more transparent about progressoin

Pay is starting to be ridiculous, they lowered the pay bands and promotions have slowed down. Peers in industry are progressing faster and getting their footing with much better knowledge.

No life for balance, toxic management, no Saudi, employees empowerment, very toxic very micromanaging.
