Imbalanced segregation of duty. They always claimed that they trust in planning, but the plan just didn't work out as per their expectation. Very high expectation from the stakeholders.

- high turnover and management not solidified yet - profit-focused at the expense of healthy culture and proper processes - no clear path for promotion, even if completing the most profitable projects as consultant. May be good for the sales people only

Lack of manpower during the shift

Management is reluctant to promote senior Level 1 SAs to Level 2, even though there is a shortage of Level 2 staff. Additionally, the work is repetitive, with little opportunity to learn new skills or grow professionally.

As the company is still within its first year of its J-V, there is a notable culture difference between the work involved. Processes might be messy, not defined and practices or mindsets might be different. Workload can be massive on certain periods and overtime is needed to fulfill deadlines. There is a thin line in work responsibilities, when the pace picks up, the slower in learning might face more stress due to the constant need to adapt and pick up knowledge and competency on the fly. Career progression vertically is still an uncertainty. Lack of admin rights on corporate laptops gives challenges for on-site engineers.

Extremely political play, favors SG local more than the foreigners. Mid-senior level people formed their own cartel. Be careful of the empty promises they make during the joining time.

Poor Management, no career path

Work life balance? It depends on your project and direct superior. When it comes to getting you to help out in other projects, management will use "One Ensign" motto. But when you asked management about literally anything at all, "eh, i don't know that team very well" Many things look good on the outside, with a lot of promises, but it always ended up with disappointments so long as you're not part of the Royal Family. Certain bosses will tell everyone how goos you are, but during appraisals, you will be hit hard by the following: - Taking initiative to improve the process. "it's your job" - Taking up courses to improve skillset. "how old are you? your age might have problems learning new things" - Working to progress forward with company. "I just need you to continue doing what you're doing" So much for career growth opportunities. it also has a test lab should you need to improve your knowledge and troubleshoot issues encountered during production. but in reality, you will get a reply saying a server or environment is already set up by certain colleague, expect you to try it there instead. fair enough. but the existing set up has GPO locked down in almost everything to a certain it's almost impossible to troubleshoot anything at all. even if you managed to set up one VM after weeks of email exchange, someone from the Royal Family just comes in, tells you that they need the resources, and will delete your VM(s) anyway.

1. Slow promotion. Whereas people who has jumpship in or even foreigner from dubious university got higher rank and job title compared to old birds. 2. Lots of deadwood, people who were hired here initially on bad decision when headcount was low, but stayed here due to unable to find a job outside as unable to pass required qualification or gain enough competency. 3. Things and work progress moving way too fast.

Restrictive upper management and bureaucracy can slow and hinder development work. Can be demotivating at times.

Alot of interns less oppurtunity for career progression

Overworked, work is never ending, flexible work hours but no time to finish one. Always management say one thing do another thing. a lot of unnecessary meetings and polities. the higher you climb, the more politics you are mixed in. drain social battery

12 hour shift work with an average pay. Perfect starting point but not a place to stay long term for.

Need to navigate around the processes and protocols internally

Too many projects at one time.

Load can be quite heavy

Low salary, sometimes much lower than market rate, thus bleeding talents. Need promotion for good/fair adjustment, otherwise, low annual increment, can't even beat inflation.

Working hours may be long but it is as expected

If you are seeking work-life balance, this may not be the right place for you. The workload is demanding, and promotions are not accompanied by proper offer letters and salary increment. Additionally, leadership is lacking despite the technical expertise of senior staff. Compensation for the role is below expectations, and overall, my experience here has been deeply disappointing.

Micromanagement in certain place. No work from home arrangement for some people and some are still available, depends on the mood of the team leader.

Does not compensate well for sales

1. Heavily profit focused which means that sales is always looking to get new contracts. Hiring on the engineering side can never keep up which means that everyone is pulling on the same small pool of people to deliver the end product. 2.Very easy to be overworked. Bosses will show concern if you express unhappiness but unlikely that anything will come of it. 3. Hybrid wfh model applies only to those who have the luxury of being stationed at the main office. If you are stationed on site this does not apply to you and neither do a lot of the HR initiatives. Easy to feel left out.

Limited international experience and exposure

Workload heavy, poor pay increment, poor promotion avalability.
