Typical flex time environment. If you enjoy engaging with various customers, then this is the company for you. Leveraging understanding of operations, design, and manufacturing can be a potential to this organization as all of these are core competencies.
Old company mentality with very little new blood. A lot of this mentality is due to recent acquisition of similar firms: Nortel and Solectron. The company focus is to typically acquire companies with potential technology. There may be room to change positions, but the company operates as a small company under the umbrella of a larger organization. There is very little cross-functionality between departments.

Great Pay, $11 and hour starting off. Paid training for two weeks in Trevose, PA, along with paid hotel room if you live far enough away, paid meals, paid travel time and milaege. Training was somewhat fun and people who worked for company were for the most part very friendly.
The training was a complete waste of time...during training you learn more about how to sell products, and about Verizon's policys and phone plans...while this is great, your job is primarily to fix customer's phones. You literally dont even learn one single thing about fixing a phone until you do a training week at a Verizon store after your two weeks "training" in Trevose. This can be very overwhelming if you are not a fast learner because they expect you to learn so much information in just a week, and after that you are on your own. Better hope you get a nice trainer and other employees who are willing to help you out. Apart from that....you have high expectations to sell at least 7 accessories and 2 data services A DAY.This can be very hard to do if you do not work in a high traffic store. And if you do not meet these daily sales goals, you will be hearing from managment. Also ...they are very unorganized. I worked there for 4 months and NEVER receieved my employee ID badge, despite continuously asking managment. This was very annoying since you had to use your employee ID to open the back storage room door...since I never got mine I had to ask other employees to borrow theirs everytime i needed to go gravb something from the back...which was about 20-40 times a day....which i KNOW got annoying to those other employees.
