Promotions are hard to come by, but they do exist. Vacation/Sick leave for US employees is not that great. Some union workers don't care about the job that much and make sloppy mistakes which make it harder for you to do your work. Also costs the company money.

Management, and there is a lack of training on dangerous materials.

Local politics in the plants

Diversity amongst management is a joke. Bullying and harassment claims are hushed up, perpetrators promoted whilst others pushed out. People who speak up about diversity and inclusion (if not British white men), it will hold your career back. Same for union representatives.

Too much political correctness, pride and D&I activism

Smaller sites had a hard time complying with the multitude of initiatives sent down from Corporate HQ. Pay is mediocre.

Little room to move up. There is no reward for effort , get less than %3 raise every year due to the inflation of $, not because you are working hard.

Only downside is the work is basically only bench work.

Decisions are made by very high level management teams with little interaction with rest of the teams. There was a constant being at risk atmosphere in terms of job security.
