Some colleagues are genuinely talented and supportive, creating pockets of positivity in an otherwise challenging environment. The industry itself offers opportunities to work on interesting projects, but that's where the positives end.
Disconnected Management: There’s a significant gap between what upper management thinks is happening and what’s actually going on. Decisions are made without considering the real challenges we face on the ground, leaving us to pick up the pieces without adequate support. Lack of Support and Development: The promised support and mentorship simply aren’t there. I feel left to navigate complex challenges on my own, without the resources or guidance needed to succeed. This makes it difficult to grow both professionally and personally within the company. Unhealthy Work Environment: The culture is far too competitive, leading to an atmosphere where blame-shifting and internal politics take precedence over collaboration and teamwork. It’s hard to feel valued when the environment fosters more competition than cooperation. Poor Work-Life Balance: While the company talks a lot about work-life balance, the reality is quite different. The workload is intense, and there’s an expectation to be constantly available, which makes it difficult to maintain any sense of balance in my life. Limited Career Growth: Opportunities for advancement are few and far between, and the process feels more like a game of who you know rather than what you know. This lack of transparency and fairness is incredibly frustrating and demotivating.
