Complete mismanagement of restructuring process, including some very dodgy dealings with new service partners

Best assets are the people but they will leave very quickly when they learn they can be paid significantly more outside. JM use a global grading system that is unfair and not transparent to those it is suppose to help. Benefits no longer make up for low pay.

Extremely slow career progression in technical disciplines

Too many initiatives. Used to be a great family feel. New CEO wants all the old employees out. Very stressful environment. Culture is terrible. Really sad to see it go downhill so quickly.

Very old production equipment and tools.

They don't make you feel valuable. No career progression. No transferable skills. It's very difficult to get out once you've spent a couple of years!

Horrendously mismanaged company when it comes to commercial and capex decisions. Slow progression, too often based on time served over ability. Lots of people in jobs doing busy work.

Long work days, most new PCE's start on night shift. After adjusting to the sleep schedule, it's just like working day shift. Call me crazy, but I look forward to every upcoming shift. Make it a mission to learn something new or make an improvement, however small, every day.

Nothing really. Could me more competive in certain areas.

Slow for decision making. Limited progression in technical roles.

Bad management. Was once genuinely reprimanded for starting and finishing on time. Summoned to an office for a lecture after recommending a manager use discretion to give one extra day compassionate leave following a bereavement. Bullying culture, would leave meetings close to tears with no follow up from management. During annual reviews I was blamed for being upset and told I should have been more accomodating (hard to see how). Was encouraged to challenge and give honest feedback by a manager I had done work for. When I told her that I'd felt a bit demeaned by being introduced to a group of candidates as a peers "admin assistant" she sat me down in front of her and said peer and explained exactly why I was wrong to feel that way and that I should reconsider raising the issue. Outdated equipment, hard to get anything done, little interaction with senior team members. Very hard to find information.

Unfortunately my apprenticeship didn't go to plan, but new management have improved the new apprenticeship programme drastically, so a Con to Pro. Not enough time in the day to fix everything. Working on plant that is older than me is a slight concern. Time is only moving forward, technology is always improving.

Corporate is kept unaware of situations regarding hourly employees. Safety is a big deal as long as it doesn't interfere with production numbers.

Poor Management, no Panache, relying on dated technology

Laboratory management was awful and very incompetent. Manager at the time had no chemistry knowledge and insulted employees. HR was very rude upon my decision to leave and attempted to cause issues.
