The scope of my work is very limited, I come from a startup environment where I had a lot of control and influence. The transition breaks my spirit, but I have to feed my family. Also the codebases are disgusting.

If project is bad then you are in trouble

Keep in mind you will be working for an outsource company, so your compensation and job security are not always something you can influence. If the project is going to close, you might find out you are going to be let go in the very last minute.

They are an outsourcing company so that means that your project can end anytime with short notice

All kinds of manipulations - from presenting contract WITH non-compete clause without compensation for it and straight gaslighting about immigration laws and norms in the country to simple putting you responsible for feature not done when you promised, while you spent 2 days on high priority issue; and feature is still needed on monday.

Limited Creativity: The role can feel repetitive or rigid at times, as much of the work revolves around maintaining compliance, traceability, and following established processes. Slow Decision-Making: Due to multiple stakeholders and layers of approval, progress can be slow, which may be frustrating when trying to implement changes or resolve issues quickly.

No salary increase, no shares, no events, poor benefits, it used to be good 4 years ago, but now everyone is kind of "jumping" out the boat

Salary frozen for years. No growth possibilities due to a merge with DXC that has been going on for years. Chaotic management, in which, at any problem, you are invited to leave the company. Employee morale and enthusiasm are at rock bottom. There are no projects in which you can rotate. Layoffs are constant.

Due to recent recession in IT: - there have been quite few projects lately and because of that you might end up on whatever project is still available rather than one that actually fits you - the projects you do find seem now to be on a limited period, like 6 months, rather than undetermined (so job stability is not great right now); - our salaries have frozen for the past 1-2 years;
