Pay is not great. Management company just changed, no longer a Marriott

Not many job openings, because everyone stays in roles forever,

Never gives raises, inconsiderate management

Company culture, timing is very important. Would get warnings if late by a certain period.

Fast pace sometimes too fast pace

Understaffed, Impractical systems and procedures that works in Asia with abundance of staff is pushed to be done by 3-4 staff in Australia.

Can be draining at times

People are awful its very clicky and if you havent been there for 5 years its not fun

They pay extremely low and no benefits

Be prepared to continually add on to your job every year. Marriott values their employees but it's a business like any other and gaining several new projects in the year is the norm.

Workload often exceeds written expectations. Senior leadership talks a big game about advancement but leaves you in the dark and usually goes with an outside hire anyway.

Benefits and salary could be better

Workers can be difficult. Workload can be overwhelming at times.

Upper management has no idea about what they are doing, they relocate jobs to save money by sending them to countries with higher weekly hours limits no matter how badly it impacts the work quality, they higher middle management from external sources and these new comers have no idea about the nature of the business we are running. Every year the budget is cut because the previous year corners are cut for no valid reasons resulting in an unreasonable workload for a way too low salary which impacts staff lives. When they needed to move the staff the work environment became very toxic to force people out and avoid to pay redundancy packages and when they offered the said packages during covid they were as low as legally possible. The ladder is nearly impossible to climb if you are not a "yes-man" and the choices for promotions are purely based on buddy-buddy system and brown nosing. If you are professional and want to do a good work while being honest it doesn't work. The right doesn't outweigh the wrong at all and it's just going downhill.

The position will offer great experience, but somewhat demanding hours

The pay is not good compared to the stress of handling associates' problems and guests simultaneously.
