* Hired me with no tech experience and no college education. * Allowed me the opportunity to learn many new and cutting edge tech which allowed me to advance within the team. In turn, AMD became a stepping stone to bigger and better jobs at other companies
* Salary was not competitive. * Expectations were unrealistic and too much "good ole boy" cronyism going on in my group. This was from the 2001-2005 timeframe and that team has all left for greener pastures.

Hiring manager didn't know what she wanted during hiring, she was assuming that people could perform any skill of task, that's why she was simply put she wanted a people who has experience in relevant business domain knowledge. After hiring, she expected people could perform technical skills to help her IT dept's technical personnel to solve technical issues. Then she was simply firing people, she never consider people rice bowl. Life is very tough, why don't she is asked to do technical task as well and then be fired so that she can feel the pain of jobless and being asked to perform the task out of her skills.
