Great people for the most part. Interesting products and projects. Decent work-life balance.
Compensation is usually below industry rates. It's common to constantly lose the best people on your team to other companies. Promotions can be pretty slow.
Good salary depends on the team
No work life balance in most of the teams
Senior manager
There are many benefits afforded to the employees. It goes beyond the standard medical/dental benefits. There are Intern/Student committees that organize events (including gaming) for the students that have joined, there is a gym available to all employees (Markham campus), team building events, BBQ, etc. AMD is also active in community events such as tree planting, park cleanup, donations to charities, etc.
Pre-COVID, the Markham campus had issues with the quantity of available parking spaces especially during the winter where everyone tries to park in the underground parking. Depending on the team you are on, late nights and weekend work may be required more often than expected.
