Company culture is pretty mature and solid for the most part. Most leaders lead instead of merely managing. It's not difficult to find a mentor or mentee. Everyone seems to pull their own weight and chip in when needed for the most part. You see lots of people's kids or relatives come in and work, which is rare these days. Upward mobility is expected, but not always straight forward. However, if you're willing to network and let managers know you want to grow, they will help you and internal promotion is common.
Sometimes the scale of the organization can make it challenging to get the help you need. There are pockets of different aspects of the business overseas in different time zones which can sometimes make getting the help you need, when you need it challenging. Other parts of the business are less integrated because they came to MSI via acquisition--that's an ever-evolving process.
