When I started in 1995, I never imagined I would still be working at Motorola. I have to say there are so many good things about this company that I would not be able to write them all. I have been given many wonderful opportunities since I have been here. The people I have worked with and crossed paths with have been truly remarkable. The work I do on a day to day impacts my customers and the public at large, and I play a direct role in that. I can't speak highly enough about the family first mentality and work life balance aspect of this company. I am blessed to have be employed this many years and looking forward to many more.
Over time, the company has chisled away many benefits and used the market average as the explanation. Back when I started, MSI was the pioneer in our industry and not following the herd. I get that we have to be profitable, but some of the small transgressions against the employees do not go unnoticed. For example, the unlimited PTO policy is not in our employees' best interest but rather the company's and the bottom line. I am also very annoyed at the DEI practices that were implemented based on fraudulent data (there is only one study that is used to justify these actions, and it's not clear and concise information that supports these claims. Thank god they are being slowly rescinded.
good work life balance, respectful and nice people

Fake culture: you are asked to do anonymous evaluations of the company but you find out that they ate all but anonymous. Also' very hard to integrate team as everyone came out of the same engineering university, within 2 or 3 years difference.
Anonymous employee
five word minimum text entry
Announces cuts to pay and benefits immediately after closing employee survey.
Communications specialist intern
Everyone was super kind and I learned a lot
No cons except maybe the full-time return process is on a rolling basis as positions open which can kind of be hard for rising seniors
Inside territory sales representative
- not so micromanaged - opportunities to move around are constantly coming up - work culture - this is a great place to gain experience
- pay can be lower compared to industry standard - moving is often necessary for moving up
