Talent acquisition recruiter
Good business model. Company communicates well. Top technology.
Business is massively effected by tariffs.
Knowledge manager
I like the fact that we're serving public safety organizations around the world. It's meaningful work, even if I don't interact with the customers any more (Knowledge Management works within the support organization, but not directly with customers).
Implementation of AI tools has been frustrating. There's such a push for it that they're making the use of it automated. It's more about compliance than it is adoption.
Senior mechanical design engineer
Good Innovative culture and environment.
Low no to salary readjustments.
Service desk analyst
Great work hours and convenient.
Overnight work hrs and busy during storms
Software engineer
Work life balance Unlimited PTO Fully remote A good enough company to put on resume if you’re a newbie.
Consistent change in leadership Poor pay (compared to other big techs, yet the leadership is so ignorant to admit it) Investing in heavy offshore (Chances are low hanging fruits will be let go) Benefits are also poor (very less 401k match, bonus is okayish, stock program sucks) Little to no growth (If you work on their hero product or the R&D product, it’s ok. But any other product is just a dead end. There is basically no growth in terms of career, pay or skills)
Senior sales development representative (sdr)
I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for Motorola Solutions. It's a truly great place to work. I particularly value the opportunities for growth and advancement that the company and its managers consistently provide. In my four years here, I've had the chance to be promoted twice, taking on different roles and responsibilities, which I am very grateful for. Thank you again for creating such a positive and rewarding work environment.
I do not have any cons so far !
Senior manager
Great people, lots of engineering talent and lots of interesting engineering work in video.
Tons of challenges in engineering were addressed by doing a big re-org that removed lots of good employees. New management swooped in and took control of the 2nd biggest revenue generating business.
Channel account executive
I've had a very positive experience working at this company. Both my direct manager and the department director are supportive, approachable, and genuinely care about their team. The flexibility to work from home is a major plus and has made it much easier to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
The commission system is deeply flawed: it's paid every two months, often with errors, and capped. You need to hit a minimum of 80% of quota to receive anything, and mistakes are common enough that you practically need an accountant to manage your pay. Roles and responsibilities change suddenly without warning or clarity. For example, the role shifted from Account Executive to Channel Account Executive, with new job expectations and a focus only on signing new partners, none of which was communicated. There's no solid go-to-market strategy or defined career path. Base salary is low, and the commission meant to compensate is unreliable. Target is super high so no one can get it Overall, it feels disorganized and lacking in transparency.
