The salaries are lower than industry standard

Compensation is not satisfactory for qualification

Progression is stagnant, and performance doesn't trump tenure. So you must be ok with your typical rubber stamp increase. Mid year increases are RARE.

May not have so much transparency about salary (as normal in most companies I guess?); Frequent headcount cuts recently

Top level leadership is disconnected and often tone def to employee feedback.

Direct supervisor doesn't answer question , never returns emails. No prospect in getting promotion if you don't have a qualification unless your friends with the manager or related.

Difficult to move around to other depts

Culture is toxic where executives minimize and ignore poor leadership behavior. There is a lack of integrity across the ELT resulting in burnout and an overall lack of trust in the organization.

Some internal organisations are under utilised and often left understaffed and unable to complete their duties.

Long work days, no other cons

Not organized/managers are not in sync with each other when department is bigger. Sometimes feels like youre being judged without people saying anything. (I.e - seeing you holding your bag and assuming you came in late, assigning you more tasks because they saw you talking to someone earlier, .etc). It might be because its such a friendly environment but departmental growth is easier if youre already friendly with management. Pfizer Fridays are in the summer (half days) but some departments just decide you cannot participate. Different cultures completely depending on what department you are in.

Based in surrey, limited UK growth - need to be in global positions.

The industry is primed so that medications are being sold at the highest price point regardless of the insurance coverage, doctors are prescribing based on personal relationships with providers instead of clinical data, none of which compares products efficacy and focuses on feature's like dosage or insurance coverage which ultimately is still the higher priced item. You can get passed by others if they get a more prime territory than you regardless of your performance. Morally the job is to make doctors prescribe a higher priced medicine to a population that largely cannot afford it, while working at the most litigated and highly sued companies ever seen in history who was caught bribing doctors with trips and other incentives in the last 20 years to prescribe their products

Very corporate Spend too much time on things that don’t increase your business. Dynamic targeting
