- No true work-life balance – Expect late nights and unpredictable hours. - High pressure & constant urgency – The energy is intense and not always sustainable. - Midnight meetings are normal – An 11 PM call can happen if it must be done.

-seniors and managers often won't know what you're talking about since they're not in the weeds so you will have to be very self sufficient and often can't use them as a resource before they say "did you look at last year?" "did you email client?" etc. -more incompetence than you would expect -laid off after busy season -so much work just sent off to offshore teams. it's lazy and they often don't have the accounting concepts down, just doing routine cppy pasting or rolling from last year -review by managers and partners in the form of coaching notes SO aggravating putting their little questions and revisions and you have to go back in to answer basic stuff they could easily find or change themselves but because it's not worth their time they make you do it -brown nosing the client

The experience you will have in the projects varies a lot, depending on Directors / Partners you are working with, I have had good and bad experiences, which makes a volatile environment. There is a lot of oversight on where you are working (e.g. mandatory days in the office, not so easy to work abroad).
