They are known for their layoffs

Low pay Low bonuses Weak package

Terrible upper management Directors seem to like to build cadre of yes people that do nothing productive.

Frequent layoffs. No raises or bonus for the last 2 years and half.

12 hour Job 8am to 8 pm

Management and limited career progression

No clarity from management even when everyone knew that a big layoff was coming the management proffered to keep lying about it and try to hide it

Promotion and increment slow and little

None really . Hard to get on

culture was not great - didn't feel included

Continous layoffs make it a not so ideal company for long term career

Less Increment compare to market rate

The only con is working odd hours

- No communication within local management - No time to be prepared for lay off

Nothing bad about the company

Horrible leadership. They really know how to make a shiny object look shiny, even though everyone behind the scenes is constantly panicking… revenue, revenue, revenue. How can the Directors and above manipulate to make it appear everything is sunshine and lollipops to the outsiders? Yet, threats and uneasiness of who and when the next RIF hits is the constant… Worst place I’ve ever worked at in my entire career. Save yourself - especially your mental health - from this place. Based on recent reviews, it’s clear yo enter this place with low expectations.

-Low pay, low increase annually -Office politics, like really bad -Keep shifting work priorities -Lack of guidance from management team -Toxic stakeholder, management team or HR won't do anything to help -Layoff/reorg keep happening -No bonus, salary cut due to "difficult situation" -Lunch taste so bad so you have to dine out all the times -Too many older colleagues you don't see many college NG so low energy -No promotion nor promotion plan -Product line is boring -So much details and micromanagement from your stakeholders -No career growth -I can continue with this list but you get the idea

Frequent layoffs due to industry changes

Dysfunctional HR leadership with lack of inspiration. Many HR leaders are in it for themselves and ready to cut anyone smarter or more outgoing than they are. You have blend in and sit in the background or get rejected. Very reactive vs strategic across all functions. Lean teams with lack of resources. CEO has been around way too long and fell short of inspiring. Pay issues were constant and not resolved at the company level. They do not lead by their values.

No pay increases, keeps moving jobs overseas, management is only beholden to the shareholders

Slow paced and may not be suitable for people looking at cutting edge tech and research

Company had a few bad years but recovering.

- Shared service - don't use tax knowledge

Some groups can be siloed and difficult to work with.

Site management slowly becoming more autocratic

Career Progress will take 5 to 10 years to jump from one level to another level

big global company, but actually pretty localized in Japan

lot of poaching happens here

Lots of politics, Seagate doesn't value it's employees, limited growth opportunities

Poor vacation policy, suppose to be unlimited but never able to take. Red tape all the way around. Pay cuts with no pay back.

Don't expect career advancement. Good retirement ground.
