American HQ completely disbanded UK site

management very bad,no promotion even you work more 10 year with strong skill

Pay is not competitive. It's way lower than the average in the area

long hours and can be taxing on the body

Economy is cratering and cannot help but be worried about near term.

Will not translate well to other industries. Unstable, depending on the whims of big tech industry trends. Junior-mid level engineers experience the most instability.

There are no cons as of now.

A company that does not put it's employees first. Forced paycuts, minimal or no pay rises and very little progression. If you have any ambition steer clear of this company. It has become an awful place to work, not even knowing when the next layoff or forced paycut might happen.

Evening meetings on almost days to sync with teams globally

Quick to downsize and fire employees without investigation

Extremely toxic workplace. Too heavy management. Unhelpful coworkers. No formal training; literally was told it is sink or swim yet expected to perform at 100%. Unlimited PTO because they will make it hard for you to actually use it.

1. ASIC projects doesn't change a lot between different generations. Once you get familiar with it, you don't have chance to improve yourself. 2. Bonus/RSU is not very good as a high tech company.

Yearly hike was 5% which is on lower side although seagate claimed to doing great business, no benefits of storage drives to the employees, parents insurance is based on co-payment, no dental insurance, from feb 22 the notice period has been increased from 1 month to 3 months which is a bad decision made by Indian HR team, no work from home setup money provided

If youre not in their insider group, you are prone to get laid off when times are bad

Everything was bad except benefits

Onboarding took 2 months. This company uses reps that have no idea what they are doing. Background check was a nightmare. after wasting 3 weeks waiting on a response, from whatever service they use, they then told me I needed fingerprints for and out of state address I hadn't lived at in 11 years when they only required a 7 year history. Which wasted another 3 weeks. If i hadn't really wanted this position I would have not gone through this.

Current situation not quite good due to low demand
