Benefits for transport and etc are good
Not a friendly environment to work in, you will have to be mentally strong.
Upper management
It's a great jump off point as you make contact with people from so many different walks of life. You get exposed to different facets of work which you would normally never get a chance to. The pace can be exhausting or comfortable, depending which part of the company you're in.
There's a chance one becomes stagnated as you become too specialized. And like any other company sometimes personalities get in the way of professionalism.

Senior executive
Influence of the company in the national media landscape is large, so everyone understands their efforts can impact the national thinking. Benefits are good. Editorial employees learn a lot and tend to stay with the company for the long-term.
Salaries are not as competitive as similar companies in the nation/region. Links to national political parties can sometimes affect perception of bias and credibility. Harder for executives to climb the career ladder with senior managers staying in their posts for many years.
Assistant manager
Great to learn the ropes of a media organisation
Management of the company and staff morale can be improved.
Web developer
No micro-management, good colleagues, good annual leaves
Feels like a dead-end job with no clear career prospectives
