career opportunities is low. no proper reporting system & hierarchy. You are in a department where your boss have been in the same position for 6 years without moving up, your senior has been a senior for same 6 years without promotion. Suitable for those who like acedemy management BUT not marketing and business developmenet. Staying here I can forsee myself being complacent with my rank in the same department and can only hope i get noticed to be able to move up someday. A chinese family business. Though management is imitating MNC ways of managing, promotion is mostly based on connections. Upper management is all about knowing who. Because of these situation, complacent ppl will stay and be happy about it since the pay is acceptable. Those who want to move up the rank will play all the cards to get connected to the top. Those who are entrepreneur will used resources and seek opportunity outside. No commission for sales person while being paid at market rate.

Not encouraged to conduct experiments after 6 pm and run experiments over night

Lot's of endless meeting which bears no fruits at times. Department is decentralized and fight with one another at times on their own KPI goals. Your suggestions for improvement is often turned down and had to follow the dump management ideas.
