Workload was getting worse as the years go by

1. Bec of very high performance-driven, can be draining the life out of you 2. Unrealistic expectations from upper management to people from Operations.

Relatively high tuition fee compare with others

Not much focus on research

Some toxic employees and the focus on the quality of teaching is decreasing

Inadequate staffing resources die to rapid continuous improvement changes.

Class until 6pm and traffic really bad

Limited career advancement and salary progression. The path to getting a promotion is very unclear and seems limited to a vacancy being available.

Prolong working hours or overtime

Limited time hours of teaching so salary won’t be high

Teachers bear a heavy responsibility whenever students' results are below desirable level, irregardless of reasons which are out of the teachers' control (such as students give up himself, students do not care about own achievement)

The teaching loads are very heavy

Management who has no true intention in education. They treat everything as business and do not appreciate the staff. Salary is much lower compared to competitors.

Recent leadership changes have been challenging. Many are feeling unappreciated, leading to discussions about leaving

No work-life balance and Appreciation

Totally different direction now. Research centric. Massive change on the programme structure and teaching method. Only hiring people with PhDs and kinda force the non PhDs to start PhD ASAP or else find other jobs. Upper management rushing into major changes just to chase ranking as no 1 private uni and no 1 in everything!

High workload and fast paced for Education Industry Pay and benefits need improvement and not up to market Lack of career development for Non Academic Staff

The wages are average and can be higher.

jam after work can be crazy

High political in senior management

career opportunities is low. no proper reporting system & hierarchy. You are in a department where your boss have been in the same position for 6 years without moving up, your senior has been a senior for same 6 years without promotion. Suitable for those who like acedemy management BUT not marketing and business developmenet. Staying here I can forsee myself being complacent with my rank in the same department and can only hope i get noticed to be able to move up someday. A chinese family business. Though management is imitating MNC ways of managing, promotion is mostly based on connections. Upper management is all about knowing who. Because of these situation, complacent ppl will stay and be happy about it since the pay is acceptable. Those who want to move up the rank will play all the cards to get connected to the top. Those who are entrepreneur will used resources and seek opportunity outside. No commission for sales person while being paid at market rate.

Not encouraged to conduct experiments after 6 pm and run experiments over night

Lot's of endless meeting which bears no fruits at times. Department is decentralized and fight with one another at times on their own KPI goals. Your suggestions for improvement is often turned down and had to follow the dump management ideas.
