Sales engineer
This is a Great place to work!
Can also be a bad place to work!
Flexibility, co-workers, managers, atmosphere, Ratmir and team are back!
This year: High Level Execs, too many changes, comp plans. But, it sounds like all of this will be changing in 2019. The OG Execs are back and everyone is looking forward to what ever they have planned.
You can leave one day. Good opportunity for people with little/no experience in the industry to start in IT.
Field is neglected and competes with the inside sales team for control of deals. Pay is WELL below market for field roles. Quotas are extremely high to keep OPEX down. Management, particularly in the West, is very poor, inexperienced, lacks vision, and lacks even the most basic idea of how to run a sales team.
Business development manager
Young culture and successful company that is growing very fast. Great overseas trips and fun people
SMB product trying to be an Enterprise player. Need to develop a mature company culture. Mainly hire young inexpensive inside sales people. High sales turnover.
Public cloud engineer
Good workload, good teammates, good enterprise vision, nice comms, overall good enterprise
Could work on more benefits for employees
Systems engineer
Veeam has a great technology and has a fast, paced, dynamic culture. There is very little red-tape which means that you can just get on with your job without unnecessary procedures blocking your way. The huge growth still makes it exciting and there is a genuine buzz around the place, yet despite the growth Veeam has still maintained its start-up style culture. The social-side is also good, with lots of events and opportunities to get together socially with your local and wider team. Veeam certainly play as hard as they work.
The 'just get on with it' culture does not appeal to those who prefer to hide behind corporate policies, because there aren't any. This means you have to be self-suffcient and make things happen on your own. This can be a big shock if you are from a big company like Microsoft. The only other con is a lack of any clear career path which is why people leave in the end, not because they don't like it - it's great (see above) - but because they have to leave in the end to progress their careers. To be fair, Veeam sort of expects that and leaving is generally a no-fuss affair unless you go to a competitor.
Sales representative
Positive work environment in sales
too much throw it up at the wall and see if it sticks
Inside sales representative (isr)
