Director
Contrary to stereotypes of the music industry, the people here were smart, sincere, interesting, and team players.
After the acquisition by Access, there was a battle for the identity and strategic direction of the company. Most smart and successful people left, and the new leadership failed to define and clearly articulate the new direction.
There are no pros to comment on
Lack of collaboration among departments. Internal communication is poor. SVPs and department heads are territorial and do not inform mid and junior team members of company strategic direction
College marketing representative
An amazing opportunity for college kids to get involved in the music industry.
The pay was minimum wage but the perks made up for it (free concert tickets, great contacts, mileage and expenses)
Anonymous employee
- Great people - Great benefits - Easy going and laid back work environment - Always work to be done
- Pay is lower than most would like - Work is repetitive - No real room for advancement - Poor communication from Corporate - No real focus on company objectives - My Director is very encouraging and supportive of my career goals, but other than that, there is no motivation to excel

1. Great colleagues to work with in IT , everyone cares including the managers and the cohesion is great 2. Annual town hall is a great opportunity to know how the business is doing, the strategy and listen to upcoming music talents and impromptu concerts by established as well as new musicians. I must have watched half a dozen of my favourite artists up close ! 3. HR tries to organise events and tours so there is something happening every month 4. The offices are clean and new and the location is fantastic
1. IT is top down led so there is ad hoc restructuring every couple of years which means you never know when you or your colleague will be culled 2. There is no training for IT and shared services and it does not matter if you self-learn or upskill, if you are on the chopping block because someone in corporate decided that you will be chopped. Previous performance does not count 3. Generally speaking no career growth.
Casual atmosphere Diverse and Inclusive Throw a great party!
I am part of a Corporate function, which in a music company is really the bottom of the barrel in terms of status. This makes for a lot of tension, back-stabbing and general mayhem that does not get addressed by senior leaders. In fact, it seems to be encouraged.
Personal assistant
Used to be a great place to work
Redundancies in 2025 handled very poorly
Intern
- Gigs and vinyl - Some people were nice and tried to offer some kindness but this is extremely hard to do and most fear not going with the status quo or calling out bad behaviour. Despite my bad experience which honestly shook me for a few years, I believe there are people there with good intentions.
-Clique-y and unwelcoming environment -HR were too busy to notice or act on issues - Some unprofessional management bullying and criticising younger staff even on personal issues. Overstepping boundaries, mean and inappropriate behaviour was labeled as 'ah yes, he is weird' or 'yeah goodluck working with him, you're gonna need it' by other staff but nothing was done about it. Other staff clearly knew about horrible behaviour (some warning me from day one) but the environment doesn't reward honesty or calling this out in a productive and polite way so staff don't speak to HR or senior management about it. Your only self respecting option is to leave and work elsewhere. -Old boys club vibe is still prevalant. It is not a positive environment for a young woman to function and grow in. - Seems to be a high turnover of young staff
Director of operations
great benefits and opportunity for growth
understaffed departments that are essentially to the growth of the company
Metadata coordinator
Not excessive workloads, autonomy to manage tasks, inclusive culture, great employee benefits.
the departments can get isolated easily, scarce promotions opportunities
