1) Bullying is an accepted practice from New York management. 2) Top level UK management literally get a velvet rope and use it to designate themselves a 'VIP' area at work parties. Truly the most egotistical thing I've ever seen and really summed up their attitudes towards employees. 3) Constantly told that low pay is due to the industry, but forget that we can see the annual accounts and how well the company is doing (and how well management reward themselves). 4) Unequal treatment between departments for perks (records, tickets, invites to awards).
Great benefits and Flex Time - Work life balance
Operates with a sense of elite-ism. Management expects you to feel like it is a privilege to work there. Extremely political - who you know is everything. Innovation and problem solving are not valued. YES men/women are rewarded. Individuality is discouraged (ironic since the music biz is considered a creative industry). Diversity and inclusion are merely fancy words.
Human resources team
Great people Casual Environment Positive work environment
Not sure there are many cons. Maybe some career growth within department would be nice.
Consultative sales consultant - electronics
Wear comfy clothes. Laid back corporate environment. Booze. Fun perks. Flex work
Only downside was working with label on west coast so dealing with time difference.
Accounts assistant
I loved working for Warner Music UK in their Accounts Dept. Sadly I had to leave because the commute was too far. Would definitely recommend working or interning here if you are looking for progression. Hard work is certainly rewarded. If you are not looking to progress there are still a lot of perks such as good bonuses, a wellness week, year-end and Christmas parties etc... Would recommend applying
The salary is a bit low however there are regular pay reviews and the pros outweigh the cons. Definitely a fun place to work and advance your career.
The department gave a lot of helpful insight about the company and the department itself. I was always given tons of tasks and I loved my department. My supervisor was always there for me and whenever I needed help he was always there with an open door. I learned a lot from this experience and loved every minute of it.
I wish they had given us some sort of compensation for the traveling I had to do.
Warm teams. I made friends there. Good work/life balance.
Politics and lack of collaboration.
International, music industry, streaming priority
I don t find any cons
Director
Love the culture, office, music perks, and people!
End around 6:30-7PM, so don't get home until 8.
Licensing coordinator
none - see cons. maybe the only good thing was that the hours were pretty standard.
Licensing/Royalties department is like a black hole. No respect from company, totally disregarded as bottom of the barrel workers. Salaries remained stagnant for years. Senior Management in this department is completely unqualified. Computer systems are outdated and inefficient.
