Shrinking workforce with bulk claim transfers and no new hires. 4 manager changes in less than 2 years.

Awful IT system and support services No training VP that demeans his team

There are serious issues with the culture. Talent is not recognised and internal promotions are rare. The salaries, though not bad, are also not aligned with what considers itself a global employers

Toxic environment No support at all

Not a fun place to work. Very tired thinking.

Salary could be better, resource is a little strict on timings for lunches/breaks etc

Might have to wait longer for promotional opportunity/higher positions to open up in smaller business units. But opportunities to progress often become available in other departments and it is often encouraged to apply

Terrible Management. Lying to customers and generally not knowing what is driving calls half the time even when you spell it out of them leaving to people leaving the company shortly after being hired.

Please stop the tradition of having junior employees to must text senior leadership happy birthday/ happy anniversary, these are rather personal and should be optional. Management practices favoritism when comes to task assignment. There is no skip level meeting if an employee being treated unfairly.

Pay scale isn’t great, lot of pressure placed for poor financial reward

Micro managers are causing high turnonver. People are being tracked by monitoring applications to measure how many key strokes per hour/day they do, how many breaks are taken throughout the day, What is that??? Never mind we end up working 10-11 hr days due to high volume and people quitting. We ARE getting work done but need to constantly explain why I was "away" for 10-15m. We are treated like toddlers. It's too bad because it is a good company overall but some of these over controlling managers need to treat people like adults! They need to think this through better and realize they are not dealing with bots. Zurich offers great benefits but unfortunately, the loop hole is that is up to the department managers. Flex time, work/life balance, tuition reimbursement while all that looks great on paper, an immediate manager knock it down with lame explanations. Very disapointed with this approach. I can't imagine Kristof approving this way of work. Very stressful, based on scare tactics.

There is no cons pay is a bit low

No innovation. Not agile methodology.

Monotonous work. Great entry point into industry, but not a job for long term

Hard to move up and or advance your career

Nepotism and narcissism is rampant with spouses and families working in different departments. New office layout is cramped making it difficult to have a conversation with customers. Cost cutting as Zurich looks to make up for past poor business decisions. A lot of work being outsourced to India, Zurich has a huge stake in kotak general insurance The focus on DEI is a welcome change, but the workplace culture still struggles with subtle forms of discrimination making it a challenge. Constant turnover and unnecessary bureaucracy leads to more work with slow or no replacement of employees who leave. Some managers lack the necessary leadership skills to effectively lead their teams. Promotions into management seem to prioritize technical expertise and favouritism, without regard for staff. Overly hierarchical, with leadership appearing more focused on attending high-profile events and maintaining their titles.
