Role Summary
The Chargeman (HV) is responsible for implementing operations, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of all electrical equipment and installations. This role ensures the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the electrical systems within a large plant environment.
Job Description
In this role, the Chargeman (HV) will engage in daily operations involving high voltage power generation systems, ensuring swift responses to any plant upsets or equipment tripping. The Chargeman will also prepare daily electrical reports for management to facilitate smooth plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement operations and preventive maintenance for electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical installations and systems.
- Operate and control high voltage power generation systems.
- Perform switching and maintain electrical systems up to 33kV.
- Prepare daily electrical reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards as per Safe Work Procedure.
- Respond swiftly to plant upsets or equipment tripping.
Job Requirements
Certificate or Diploma in Electrical with certificate of competency BO/B4.
Minimum seven (7) years of working experience in Utilities/Large Plant environment.
Experienced in managing large equipment such as Electric Chillers and Gas Turbines.
Knowledge of emergency diesel generators and boilers.
Ability to ensure safety as per Safe Work Procedure by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
