Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Clerk at Sheraton Kota Kinabalu engages in daily financial tasks, ensuring that all figures and postings are accurate while maintaining organized records. The work environment is dynamic, requiring attention to detail and adherence to company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify figures, postings, and documents for accuracy and correct coding.
  • Organize and maintain files, records, cash, and cash equivalents according to policies and procedures.
  • Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information.
  • Maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets and compile financial data using journals, ledgers, or computers.
  • Prepare and distribute various financial and accounting reports.
  • Complete period-end closing tasks efficiently.
  • Handle billing processes, including preparing, reviewing, reconciling, and issuing bills, invoices, and account statements.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.

At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality and follow company policies and procedures.

Good communication skills to interact professionally with guests and coworkers.

Ability to handle basic physical tasks such as moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

Must be a team player and able to support common team goals.

Ability to use electronic spreadsheets and computerized financial systems.
