The Accounts Receivable Clerk at Sheraton Kota Kinabalu is responsible for verifying figures, postings, and documents for accuracy and correct coding. This role involves organizing and maintaining files, records, cash, and cash equivalents according to policies and procedures, as well as recording, storing, accessing, and analyzing computerized financial information. The clerk maintains accurate electronic spreadsheets and compiles financial data using journals, ledgers, or computers. They prepare and distribute various financial and accounting reports and complete period-end closing tasks. The position also entails handling billing processes, including preparing, reviewing, reconciling, and issuing bills, invoices, and account statements per company procedures. The role requires adherence to company policies and confidentiality, maintaining professional communication and appearance, and fostering positive working relationships within the team. Other duties may be assigned by supervisors.
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
No supervisory experience is required.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and follow company policies and procedures.
Good communication skills to interact professionally with guests and coworkers.
Ability to handle basic physical tasks such as moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
Must be a team player and able to support common team goals.
Ability to use electronic spreadsheets and computerized financial systems.
